We have an immediate need for a Security & Fire Protection Operations Specialist JOB DESCRIPTION Analyzes background screening results to determine if any derogatory or discrepant information exists for new hire, rehire, or recall candidates at both domestic and international locations. Upon discretionary review, makes a preliminary hire or no-hire decision based on results of background results. Initiates adverse employment action process by interfacing with the background screening service. Accesses, analyzes and interprets detailed public record sources, like criminal justice records at the municipal, state, and federal level, and credit reports. Assists manager in monitoring/auditing vendor performance measures. Performs follow-on investigation of public records sources to ensure accurate information was disclosed by requestor. Interprets detailed court records. Reports accurate, detailed information to an investigator or manager for final adjudication. Initiates, tracks, and reports results of non-employee background checks for certain sensitive positions Maintains detailed records of investigative results in the enterprise investigations database for both international and domestic background checks, as well as all open and pending investigations. Performs data mining in support of organizational requirements. Ensures timely processing of cases by monitoring cycle time of investigative activities. JOB SKILLS: Analytical skills and sound judgment is essential. Must work well with a team. Candidate must be able to communicate verbally and in-writing. Candidate must be extremely detail oriented and have strong organizational skills. Candidate must be able to address time sensitive demands on a continuous basis. Candidate must be able to research and extract information from multiple online public records sources. Candidate shall have strong data entry skills (10 key, keyboarding). Candidate must be skilled at using Microsoft Outlook (schedule meetings, manage email), and Microsoft Word. Candidate shall have experience in managing a caseload and using electronic databases to track and access information. Candidate would benefit by having knowledgeable of the criminal justice system and the stages of adjudication in criminal matters. Candidate must be deemed trustworthy and reliable to handle confidential and sensitive personally identifiable information. Candidate must be able to manage a caseload, dealing with high volumes of time sensitive transactions on a continual basis. Candidate must be self-directed with proven ability to work independently. A Bachelor?s degree is preferred and/or work experience in a related field. Applicants who have experience processing background investigations or providing investigative services (paralegal, law enforcement, social services, probation/parole), or human resources shall be given preference.
