What you need for this position:
- Experience providing application support
- Experience executing/documenting disaster recovery tests/results
- Experience executing/documenting technical tests cases/results
- Design/implement automation initiatives
- Execute capacity/performance testing
- Provide Level II technical support to IT Operations
- Experience with Scripting languages; Perl, Tcl, Python, Shell, etc.
- Basic Network Administration knowledge
- Experience with Technical Testing and Back End applications
- Understanding of performance management
- Experience with Change Management and Configuration Management
What you'll be doing:
- Schedule and track application changes and releases
- Make several daily modifications to support customers' business and technical specifications
- Perform technical tests before changes are rolled out
- Design implementation strategy
- Deploy software and configuration changes on all Test environments
- Perform implementation and integration of application software and hardware configuration changes
- Create and execute test plans/scripts/cases based on technical and business requirements for trading applications and market operations support tools
- Perform unit, acceptance, performance, capacity, regression and system failover testing on Back End components using manual and automated test procedures
- Test OS and layered product upgrades/patches
Provide application and system support for several internal departments including Computer Operations, QA, Product Management and Member Services
- Provide application and environment administration of a complex trading system
- Troubleshoot and diagnose systems problems; install and configure fixes for applications running on OpenVMS, Unix/Linux and Windows platforms
- Troubleshoot trading issues by working with clients, vendors, and internal units including the QA, operations and market control teams
