We have an immediate need for a UNIX (Solaris/Linux) Administrator. JOB DESCRIPTION CDI has an immediate opening in San Francisco for a UNIX (Solaris/Linux) Administrator in a 24x7 environment with one of our large corporate clients. This is a long term assignment, 6 to 18 months, on CDIs W-2. Description: - Be part of an on-call 24 x 7 team to support mission critical high transaction public facing Web based Internet applications. - Third level technical production support for the organizations online products and services to ensure maximum performance, availability and security. - Technologies include Dynamo, WebLogic, Documentum, and in-house development applications. - Provide OS customization, certificate maintenance, setting up server support and server tape backups, and writing documentation to support our services. - Use DNS, diagnostic and customer simulation tools to maintain, troubleshoot, and/or restore service to the production environment. - Identify application and/or hardware/OS problems. - Reroute customer traffic around production problems, project implementations and application code updates. - Provide regular on-call production support requiring quick response and coordination leading to problem resolution or escalation to 3rd level. Minimum Qualifications: BS and 5-8 years of industry experience with the following software and monitoring tools: - Must have at least 1+ years of experience with HP OVO alarming and console services, Introscope, and system checkouts. - Must have at least 5 + years of experience with F5 Load balancing, Weblogic 8.x/9.X/10.X, Sun One Web Server, IBM MQ series, Autosys NDM application and Netbackup software. - On-call 24x7 experience for supporting over 300 servers. - Experience with SSL certificate installation for SUN One and Weblogic using the keytool. - Experience with Remedy for use with Change Request and Trouble Tickets. - Experience with RHEL 4.X/5.X OS and SUN Solaris OS version 8/10 with tuning and troubleshooting using different tools like Dtrace, Teamquest is preferred.
