Position Description:
Sr. J2EE Software Engineer to be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining complex enterprise applications that communicate with Embedded software in consumer electronics.
The successful candidate will demonstrate ability to own all design & development aspects of a full implementation, and be able to take the product from concept to production through following high level tasks:
analysis of requirements to drive further clarification; propose, define and document sound design/refactoring options & alternatives; develop application code and unit tests; integrate with our other applications as necessary; deliver integrated application components to Testing and Quality Assurance team.

Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, debug, test, and integrate server based Web service software for consumer electronic multi-media audio/video products
- Develop viable system level proposals for server software designs and maintain responsibility of them to functional, product level form
- Development of user interfaces for Web based Servers
- Proven skills in complete software life cycle, including requirements definition, system design, development, testing and product launch
- Proficient in Web services programming languages and paradigms, including Java, Web Objects, Servlets, Tomcat, SQL, HTML, XML, CSS, JavaScript, DOM, and AJAX
- Document systems for use by others and for technology transfer to Japan.
- Some domestic and international travel required. Must be able to work extended hours. Must be able to sit at desk for extended periods of time. Must have command of English language adequate to communicate technical information
- Administer server applications, such as SVN, Apache, Microsoft SQL
- Contribute to group's intellectual property development
Required Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
- BS or MS CS/EE required
- Minimum of 5 years of experience designing server based Web services
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Web Objects and SQL Server
- Very strong and highly effective in Web languages and methods; HTML, XML, CSS, JavaScript, DOM, AJAX
- Capable in software programming languages; JAVA, C, and C++ SW programming skills with demonstrated projects that can be referenced
- Demonstrated ability to transform high level concepts into viable system architecture, requirements description, and then develop a working software system
- Good communication skills and team contributor
- Experience with Embedded programming technologies and Linux
